Webinar: GeoAI – how geodata and AI optimize value chains
Together with LETO SPACE, we show you in this webinar where satellite and geodata combined with AI already create productive value today – and where they don't. No future scenario, but a sober assessment of what industrial companies can implement right now.
In recent years, earth observation data has evolved from a research topic into an operational resource: the European Copernicus program delivers radar and optical data freely available on a weekly cycle, commercial providers add resolutions down to 15 cm, and AI models evaluate these data volumes automatically. At the same time, studies show that the hurdles for companies no longer lie in cost or data quality, but in missing expertise, unclear licensing models and the question of how geo-insights make their way into existing processes.
The focus is on three fields of application that have proven themselves in regular industrial operation:
- Asset and infrastructure monitoring: monitoring of plant sites, pipeline networks, tracks, dams and construction projects from orbit: vegetation risks, ground movements in the millimeter range (InSAR), land-use changes and construction progress – area-wide and without on-site inspection
- Supply chain risk and compliance: natural hazard exposure of suppliers and sites, evidence for CSRD reporting, and the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) applying from December 30, 2026, which requires georeferenced proof of origin for timber, paper, rubber and agricultural commodities, verified by the EU using satellite data
- Site assessment and grid planning: land availability, solar and wind potential, natural hazards and ground stability as a basis for decisions on energy, infrastructure and expansion projects
Using examples from industry, energy and infrastructure, we show which data sources suit which questions, what resolution and revisit rate can realistically deliver, which applications are still hype, and how a first use case can be validated within a few weeks before investing. Patrick Pils, CEO of LETO SPACE, contributes his experience from strategy and implementation projects in which space data was integrated into business processes.
