App2Spec is ReqPOOL's AI-supported, agentic consulting platform for the automated creation of AS-IS specifications of existing software. The platform observes how an application actually behaves – either an AI agent operates the software autonomously like a user, or it watches a real user at work and captures every screen and every event including screenshots. These observations become a standardised knowledge graph and from it a complete AS-IS specification in which every statement is traceable to its evidence.
How it works
Observe
The agent operates the target software autonomously or records a user operating it – web applications and Windows desktop applications, also via browser recording without any local installation.
Analyse
The AI converts screenshots and events into standardised entities of a knowledge graph: screens, controls, navigation paths, data fields, business rules and process flows.
Specify
The knowledge graph is compiled into a complete, consistent AS-IS specification including end-to-end process flows with process diagrams – every statement backed by screenshots and event logs.
Publish & export
Results are published on the online platform and exported to Word, PDF and Markdown – in German or English, configurable per project.
