Procurement of a website CMS with an agile implementation concept

Objective

Austrian Power Grid AG's goal was to define a new structure for its digital communication. This was to be achieved by introducing a new website CMS and redesigning the existing website. The company was looking for an implementation partner to support APG with agile project management and the introduction of a new content management system in modernizing its communication structures and increasing efficiency, as well as raising the company's profile with a new website.

Approach

• The project started in August 2020 as a collaboration between APG and ReqPOOL. In several workshops and ongoing alignments, all information was collected to gather the requirements for the new website CMS and the implementation partner.
• In addition, ReqPOOL introduced APG to the agile way of working. In a further step, ReqPOOL and APG jointly developed award criteria for tendering an agile project.
• ReqPOOL prepared the documents for tendering the framework agreement by the end of October 2020.
• After tendering the website CMS, the key personnel and their agile approach, ReqPOOL evaluated the bidders' offers and supported APG during the hearings.
• The final evaluation of the vendors was carried out together with APG and the best bidder was selected.

Result

The result of the collaboration between APG and ReqPOOL was the completion of the tender documents for software and personnel as well as the evaluation and selection of the best bidder.
