TGW Logistics Group
Conception of an enterprise architecture management
Objective
Due to the complex system landscape of the TGW Logistics Group and the lacking decision-making capability of projects, the establishment of an enterprise architecture management incl. a role, processes and tool support was recommended. The goal of this project is to create the necessary concepts for the role and to establish and exercise it.
Approach
- Creation of a rough concept for enterprise architecture (EAM) & application lifecycle management (ALM)
- Requirements gathering and tool selection (ADO-IT)
- (Partly) automated creation of an application portfolio by developing a tool for collecting application data for ADO-IT
- Development of the roles and processes in enterprise architecture and coaching over two years:
- Content validation of internal projects in demand management
- Documentation of system architectures
- Continuous further development of the concept (templates, rituals, process)
Result
- Concept and documentation for EAM & ALM
- Introduced ADO-IT incl. connection to ADONIS
- Documented TGW application landscape in ADO-IT
- Established IT-EA role in the demand management process

With ReqPOOL's support, we were quickly able to define an actionable guideline, achieve sustainable results and roll them out successfully across the company.
