reqChecker – Requirement quality
reqChecker is ReqPOOL's platform for checking requirement quality. ReqPOOL consultants use it to check every formulation of a requirement document, a tender or a backlog against IREB and ISO 29148 criteria – and see immediately which sentences will cost money later. The rules run deterministically: same requirement, same result, every finding referenceable to a standard criterion. reqChecker codifies the ReqPOOL methodology for requirement quality from tender and requirement-document projects.
How it works
Take over requirements
Requirements from the requirement document, the tender, the specification or the backlog are taken over into reqChecker – individually or as a whole list, one requirement per line.
Check deterministically
The rules according to IREB and ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148 run deterministically: sentence template, modal verbs, unambiguity, verifiability, singularity, length and filler phrases. Same requirement, same result; every finding referenceable to a standard criterion.
Understand rule → risk → consequence
Every finding explains the risk, not just the rule: “fast” is not measurable → no objective acceptance → dispute is inevitable. A quality score per requirement and overall supports prioritisation.
Improve the wording
On request, the AI generates an improvement suggestion for a finding – testable wording that ReqPOOL reviews and adopts together with the requirement owners. Exactly this one requirement is processed, at Azure OpenAI in the EU region.
Receive the quality report
The result is a quality report with management summary, prioritisation and concrete next steps – the evidence for the quality gate before baseline, tender or build order.
